Welcome to the Personal Page of Alex Dagley
My name is Alex Dagley I am a 31 year old man from Frisco TX, I grew up like most kids; hanging out with friends, rode my bike a lot, went fishing, ext. Born in Dallas, I moved to Baton Rouge during my childhood before returning to the Metroplex.
In 1995, I showed symptoms of Friedreich’s Ataxia, a genetic degenerative nuero-muscular disorder. My brother, who is two years older than me, had previously been diagnosed with the condition, so it didn’t take long for me and my family to identify what has going on with me.
On Saturday March 24, I'll ride with my FAmily for Ride Ataxia. We'll be joined by several local FA families, friends and cycling enthusiasts riding as a team to redefine what is possible. Join me in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!
rideATAXIA was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA. Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling. He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day. After that the sky was the limit." Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $6 million to fund FA research progress.
