Welcome to Patti Jacquin's Personal Page
On October 15, I'm participating in rideATAXIA to cure Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a debilitating, life shortening neuromuscular disease. I’ll participate with family, friends and cycling enthusiasts to redefine what is possible in FA research. My daughter, Laura, was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia at age 11. Since 2002 we have raised over $260,000 for FARA through Walk & Ride events in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
Since 2011, Team Laura has raised over $150,000 for FARA at rideATAXIA Philadelphia.
The multi-city event, rideATAXIA, was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA. Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling. He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day. After that the sky was the limit." Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $4 million to fund FA research progress.
Join me in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!
Thank you, Patti
