Welcome to My Personal Page
On June 10th, I'm riding to cure Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a debilitating, life shortening neuromuscular disease. I will be riding on a trailer attached to the back of Rachel Main's bicycle. Together we will ride to raise awareness and money for research to combat this disease.
Most of you know my story and have been avid supporters of my journey. For those of you that dont know me and for fundraising purposes, I would like to share with you a little bit about myself. By the time I turned ten years old I had been diagnosed with an idiopathic cardio-myopathy, Friedreich's Ataxia and scoliosis. The next three years brought on a walker to a wheelchair full-time and a diabetes diagnosis. My life had completely changed and I wasnt ready for these changes. At the age of fourteen I had a full spinal fusion and rod placement from top to bottom. Two years later I had a partial rod removal from the thoracic portion of my back. My cardiomyopathy turned to left ventricular hypertrophy. Today I am in congestive heart failure and constant pain. I need help with my daily functions and routine. Sometimes I feel like my time is running out! I am asking for your support in helping to fund a cure for this devastating disease.
Join me in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!
