rideATAXIA Philly - October 15th, 2017

Dreams Come True

On October 15, we’re riding to cure Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a debilitating, life shortening neuromuscular disease.  We’ll ride with local FA families, friends and cycling enthusiasts to redefine what is possible in FA research.

rideATAXIA was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA. Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling. He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day. After that the sky was the limit." Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $5 million to fund FA research progress.

rideATAXIA offers route lengths for all cycling abilities with a 4 mile, an 8 mile, a 25 mile and a 50 mile course. Join us for a great ride with beautiful Fall scenic views and for the best post-ride food around, catered by Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, and Bonefish Grill at Montgomery County Community College. And it is all for a great cause- the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA).

FARA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research to bring treatments forward for Friedreich's ataxia (FA). FA is a progressive, life shortening neuromuscular disease, and FARA is the largest funder of FA research in the US. To learn more about FARA and the children and adults living with FA visit: www.cureFA.org

Join us in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!

Hope to see you on the road!
