The Burrows Hill Foundation to Fight Friedreich's Ataxia
As you may know, over the past two years Sam and Rebecca Hill were diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia, a debilitating, life shortening neuromuscular disease. Sam is 13, a voracious reader and a lover of everything Harry Potter. Rebecca is 10, a charasmatic kid who loves to joke around, ride her bike, and play soccer. Sam and Rebecca have a ton of spunk and fight in them.
On October 15th, we’re riding to cure Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a debilitating, life shortening neuromuscular disease. We’ll ride with local FA families, friends and cycling enthusiasts to redefine what is possible in FA research.
rideATAXIA was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA. Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling. He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day. After that the sky was the limit." Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $5 million to fund FA research progress.
Join us in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!
